What a great weekend...filled with sewing, food, and catching up with friends. I had time to whip up my first plus quilt top to welcome a new addition to a Coast Guard family. I included prints from Dear Stella, Michael Miller and other bits from my stash in nautical prints as well as others in navy, aqua and white. I just love how it turned out, although the pictures do not exactly do it justice. I need to work on my outdoor quilt photography!
This is my first quilt that has a name too...Ahoy Plus One! I am hoping to name my future quilts as well. Now, I am patiently awaiting the arrival of the backing and binding fabrics. I cannot wait to finish it!
