One goal this year is to do a better job this year of using the fabric that I have on hand rather than buying so much new....but no promises that I will always be successful! There are so many beautiful fabrics out there and it is tough not to indulge! However, I have quite a stash of beautiful materials just begging to be used.
So, I decided to pull out a project that I started several months ago. It's a broken herringbone block by Play Crafts (tutorial here). I shelved it for a long while and forgot about it until I started going through my shelves on Saturday. I just love all the fabrics and now have enough for a baby quilt. I just cannot decide if I want to stop there or make it bigger!

ReplyDeleteI saw this tutorial back in Jan on the broken herringbone block, I had to do it right away! I LOVED IT! It is sitting on my table at home in my sewing room waiting for me to return after my winter vaca in FL. Looking forward to getting enough done for a small lap quilt. I visited from Freshly Pieced.

ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I love the thin strips of grey between the main colours and your fabric choices are luscious.
