The scrap piles are currently over flowing.....so I spent some time looking for ideas on how to use up the last bits of fabric that I could not throw away. I just loved all of the pictures that I found of ticker tape quilts, both with raw and more finished edges. So, I decided to try it for myself using scraps from the Reunion by Sweetwater collection for Moda. I probably have enough scraps from this bundle to make a lap quilt!

This is lovely. Did you just zig zag down your raw edges?
ReplyDeleteWell done! The triangles and other shapes have great movement!
ReplyDeleteThis ticker tape quilt is SUPER great! Plus, I love the Reunion scraps. I have been wanting to make a ticker tape quilt for so long, but it will have to wait...for now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feedback! I did use a zig zag stitch for a more finished look. I encourage everyone to try this method to use up all your small scraps!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to use up all your scraps! I will definitely be trying this out!
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to stop by tomorrow and link this up to Fabric Frenzy Friday!
